Assign selected Photoshop path name to a variable

I am trying to assign the name of the currently selected Photoshop path (kind,normal) to a variable.

I can do it for an artLayer as follows app.activeDocument.activeLayer.name; but I have searched the web for a way to isolate the active path.

Could anybody help with this?
